Life Sends Many Interesting Things Our Way, A Brief Post

Hello readers,

I have abandoned my blog for about eight months now, although I started a post in September and never completed it. Let's get a summary of what has happened since Earth Day last year:

I successfully completed another summer at my resort job which I do love. I am very grateful to have it.

I read 16 books, I believe, in total in about 6 weeks or so. I can provide a list at a later time.

My fiancé and I decided to stay in Maine. We love it here.

We now have three, yes three cats. Luna is as cute and annoying as ever, we now have Isa who is a Himalayan cat, about 8 or 9 years old, and has some slight glitches, and Vader, our kitten who is now probably 4 1/2 months old. He's a standard tabby. Pictures and stories to come.

My squishables collection has gotten slightly out of hand. More on that later too.

I began a job in October as a nanny for two girls. This job ends for me on Friday (reason below).

I am almost 17 weeks pregnant with my first child. Life is an adventure, is it not?

My fiancé had suggested a while ago that I begin my blog anew and I believe I will be doing that. Prepare for a slight new look and even a new title. Pregnancy will be a hot topic in the weeks to come as well.

Some basics on my pregnancy: I'm probably more Eco-friendly and organic than ever, preparing quite the list of organic and all natural things for my baby. I'm also terrified of childbirth, have been for most, if not all of my life. I do not adore being pregnant, food is my life and I don't enjoy having to watch everyone I eat for possible contaminants, I don't enjoy feeling lazy, and gaining weight? Well, I think it's safe to assume most people don't like to gain weight. I visited a dietician who told me I had gained too much weight. I was paranoid about this until it sunk in that my doctor, who had said nothing to me a few days before about it, would have mentioned it if it was a problem. Oh well. Another thing I should mention is that I will not be finding out the gender of my baby. My fiancé would like to, but it is the only thing I'm really adamant about.

I have a baby registry put together, which is actually quite nice. (Thanks, Amazon.com! Those who know me well can find it there.) I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so more information will be available as time goes on. Until then, have a good week!
